DESCRIPTION:PUBLIC NOTICE\nThe City of Hawkinsville hereby gives notice that the City of Hawkinsville will hold a public meeting on October 27, 2026 at 10:15 A.M., in the Hawkinsville City Hall at 56 Broad Street, Hawkinsville, GA, 31036.\nThe purposes of the following meeting are to:\n\nInform the public of the construction of a well and water treatment facility at the North Industrial Park.\nTo comply with Section 391-3-5-.05 of Georgia’s Safe Drinking Water Rules and Regulations (and amendments thereto).\nTo encourage public involvement in the development of a plan to construct the water treatment facility.\n\nThe public meeting will attempt to identify public preferences for alternative methods of improving the City’s water treatment facilities.  These alternatives will be evaluated and included in the City’s Environmental Information Document.\nPublic participation is considered essential to the selection and development of the final plan to be adopted prior to its approval by the State of Georgia, Department of Natural Resources.\n
