Revitalization Area Strategy Public Hearing
The City of Hawkinsville is applying to the Georgia Department of Community Affairs for designation of a Revitalization Area Strategy (RAS). This designation will allow the city to apply for DCA grant funding more frequently and will provide bonus points on their applications.
The activities to be pursued under the RAS and more specific details regarding this program application will be provided at a public hearing, to be held on April 6, 2026, at 5:30 p.m. at Hawkinsville City Hall, 56 Broad Street, Hawkinsville, GA 31036. The purpose of this hearing will be to obtain citizen input into the development of the application and to solicit public input regarding proposed projects.
