LOGIC AND ACCURACY TESTING
Pursuant to O.C.G.A 21-2-379.25; notice is hereby given that the logic and accuracy testing on the voting equipment to be used in the November 3, 2026 General Special Election for Election Day and Advance in Person Voting will begin at 9:00 a.m. on October 1, 2026 until completed. The testing will be at the Pulaski County Courthouse Annex, 45 South Lumpkin Street, Hawkinsville, GA. The test procedure is open to the public.

Advanced voting for the General Special Election will be held Tuesday October 13, 2026 through Friday October 30, 2026 at the Pulaski County Courthouse Annex. Voting hours will be 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Applications for Absentee by Mail must be submitted to the Registrar’s Office by 5:00 pm on October 23.
Election Day will be November 3, 2026 at the Pulaski County Courthouse Annex. Voting hours will be 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM

Sealed Bids will be received at the Pulaski County Commissioner’s Office located at 45 S. Lumpkin St., Hawkinsville, GA 31036 until 10:00 AM on Friday, October 2, 2026 for the following project:
Pulaski County 2024/2025/2026 LMIG/LRA Roads
The work to be done consists of furnishing all materials and performing all labor necessary to complete the Pulaski County 2026 LRA, 2027 LMIG, & T-SPLOST Paving Project that consists of resurfacing:
Bembry Road 2.53 miles
Davis Road 2.84 miles
Fourteen Lane Road 2.06 miles
Harmony Church Road 2.25 miles
Mock Springs Road 3.75 miles
Lenora Drive 0.19 miles
Total 13.62 miles
All work shall be done in accordance with the following: GDOT Specifications.

Pulaski County reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids and to waive technicalities. All potential bidders must be pre-qualified by GDOT.
Public Hearing Notice – Pre-Disaster Mitigation Plan Update
A public hearing for the Pulaski County Pre-Disaster Mitigation Plan Update will be held on Thursday, July 30, 2026, at 5:00 p.m. at the Pulaski County Annex Building at 45 S Lumpkin St, Hawkinsville, GA 31036. This hearing is to inform residents of the planning process and obtain input regarding the upcoming development and update process for the plan. Questions and comments concerning the Pulaski County Pre-Disaster Mitigation Plan Update may be directed to Greg Boike with the Middle Georgia Regional Commission at (478) 751-6160.

NOTICE OF CALL FOR SPECIAL ELECTION

COUNTY OF PULASKI
Notice is hereby given that, in accordance with O.C.G.A. § 21-2-540, a Special Election shall be held in Pulaski County to fill the vacancy in the office of Pulaski County Board of Education District 2 caused by the resignation of Sylandi Brown on June 16, 2026. The Special Election will be held on Tuesday, November 3, 2026. Qualifying for this Special Election will take place from 8:30 AM on August 5, 2026, until 12:00 PM on August 7, 2026. The Qualifying fee shall be $90.00. Qualifying will take place at the Pulaski County Board of Elections and Registrar, 45 S Lumpkin St Suite 113. All persons who are not registered to vote and who desire to register to vote in the Special Election may register through the close of business on Monday, October 5, 2026. Advance voting will be held Tuesday, October 13, 2026, through Friday, October 30, 2026. Polls will be open from 7:00 A.M. until 7:00 P.M. on Election Day. Should a runoff election be required, such runoff will be held on Tuesday, December 1, 2026.

NOTICE OF SPECIAL CALLED RECOUNT OF ELECTION RESULTS
Notice is hereby given that at the direction of the Secretary of State pursuant to O.C.G.A. § 21-2-495, the Pulaski County Board of Elections and Registration has scheduled a recount proceeding for the Republican Public Service Commission (PSC) District 3 race. This race was part of the Republican Party Primary General Election which occurred on May 19, 2026. The recount is being conducted in all Georgia Counties.
Testing for the recount followed immediately by the recount will begin on Wednesday June 17, 2026, at 9:00 a.m. and will continue each day until completed, but no later than Friday, June 26, 2026, at 5:00 p.m. The recount will take place at the Pulaski County Board of Elections Office, 45 S Lumpkin St Suite 113 Hawkinsville, Georgia 31036. Pursuant to Georgia law, the affected political party may designate two representatives to be present during the recount, and each affected candidate may be present in person or by representative. The recount proceeding shall be open to the public; however, members of the public will be required to remain within designated viewing areas and comply with all instructions necessary to maintain the orderly conduct of the recount. The recount is being conducted upon formal receipt of a written recount request from candidate Branson Martin following certification of the election results because the margin of victory was less than one half of one percent. The recount will be conducted in accordance with Georgia election law and applicable State Election Board rules and regulations.
