NOTICE Municipal General Election November 7, 2023
Advanced voting for the Municipal General Election will be held Monday October 16, 2023- Friday November 3, 2023 at the Pulaski County Courthouse Annex. Voting hours will be 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
Saturday Voting will be held October 21, 2023 and October 28, 2023 from 9:00 AM to 5:00 pm.
Applications for Absentee by Mail must be submitted to the Registrar’s Office by 5:00 PM on October 27 2023.
Election Day will be November 7, 2023 at the Pulaski County Courthouse Annex. Voting hours will be 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM

The testing will be at the Pulaski County Courthouse Annex, 45 South Lumpkin Street, Hawkinsville, GA. The test procedure is open to the public.

2023 Pulaski County 5 Year Tax History
The Pulaski County Commissioner does hereby announce that the millage rate will be set at a meeting to be held at the County Annex building on Monday, August 7, 2023 at 10:00am and pursuant to the requirements of O.C.G.A. Section 48-5-32 does hereby publish the following presentation of the current year’s tax digest and levy, along with the history of the digest and levy for the past five years.

Special Called County Commissioner’s Meeting
A special called County Commissioner’s meeting will be held on Friday, May 19th at 10:00 am at the County Annex. The purpose of the meeting is to approve Resolution 2023-6, a Community Block Development Grant (CDBG) grant application for the Senior Center.

Pulaski County Request for Qualifications (RFQ) For Architecture Services
Pulaski County is requesting statements of qualifications from architecture firms interested in assisting the county in its effort to undertake design and construction management of improvements to the county senior citizens center to be funded through state and local funds including the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program. Interested parties are invited to secure an RFQ package from Dean Nelson, Middle Georgia Regional Commission, 175 Emery Highway, Suite C, Macon, Georgia 31217 or by calling (478) 751-6160.
To be considered, proposals must be received by 4:00 pm, March 9, 2023, at the Middle Georgia Regional Commission, Attn: Dean Nelson, 175 Emery Highway, Suite C, Macon, Georgia 31217. An electronic copy of the proposal must be included. This may be submitted on a flash drive, CD, or via email by shared link to dnelson@mg-rc.org. Zip files will be rejected via email. All proposals must be sealed and should be clearly labeled. Proposals received after the specified date and time will not be considered.
Section 3
This is a Section 3 contract opportunity. This project is covered under the requirements of Section 3 of the HUD Act of 1968. This project must ensure that employment and other economic opportunities generated by CDBG funds shall, to the greatest extent feasible, and consistent with federal, state and local laws and regulations, be directed toward low and very low-income persons, particularly those who are recipients of government funding for housing, and to business concerns which provide economic opportunities to low and very low-income persons in coordination with the Section 3 provisions of the Housing and Urban Redevelopment Act of 1968 – 24CFR Part 135.
Fair Housing
This project must affirmatively further fair housing and steps must be taken to analyze impediments to fair housing choice in Pulaski County, and take steps to overcome any identified impediments in efforts to promote fair housing for Pulaski County residents.

This project must ensure that no qualified individual with a disability shall, by reason of such disability, be excluded from the participation in or be denied the benefits of services, programs, or activities of a public entity, or be subjected to discrimination of any such entity as prescribed by law in the Americans with Disabilities Act and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, 29 U.S.C. 794, as amended.
