City of Hawkinsville Request for Proposals (RFP) for Transfer Switch & Portable Generator
The City of Hawkinsville, Georgia seeks proposals for the supply and installation of one (1) automatic transfer switch at the Ryan Street lift station and one (1) 200kW portable generator as part of a hazard mitigation grant project.
This project is funded through a hazard mitigation grant and must comply with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
The City of Hawkinsville reserves the right to reject any and all proposals received.

Elections – Risk Limiting Audit
Pursuant to SEB Rule 183-1-15-.04, a Risk Limiting Audit shall be conducted on November 15, 2024, for the General Election. Please be advised that Pulaski County will hand-count ballots as part of this audit on the following dates, times, and location. The procedures shall be open to the public to observe.

City of Hawkinsville Request for Proposals (RFP) for Lawn Maintenance
The City of Hawkinsville seeks Proposals / Bids to provide Landscape Maintenance Services for Properties under its ownership and/or control. All Proposals shall be delivered and addressed to Sara Myers (City Manager for The City of Hawkinsville) at 56 Broad Street, P.O. Box 120, Hawkinsville, Ga 31036, by 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, November 26, 2024 (any bids delivered after this time are disqualified and will not be considered). Any questions pertaining to this request for proposals are to be in writing and emailed to Sara Myers at sara@hawkinsvillega.net. All sealed bids will be opened and read out loud in the office of the City Manager on behalf of The City of Hawkinsville. While the City of Hawkinsville desires to award the Contract to the lowest qualified bidder, it shall reserve the right to reject any bids should the City determine any of the bids do not sufficiently meet the needs of the City. Upon review of the Proposals, the City Manager shall make recommendations to the Board of Commissioners for Bid selection to be voted on at the Board of Commissioners Regular meeting on Monday, December 2, 2024, at 6:00 PM.

Intent to Process Absentee Ballots
Pursuant to O.C.G.A. 21-2-386(a)(3) and the State Election Board Rule 183-1-14-0.9-.15, this is to notify the citizens of Pulaski County, GA that the Pulaski County Board of Elections and Registration will begin to Process absentee ballots cast in the General Election on November 4, 2024 at 2:00 pm. The process will continue until completion on said date. Processing will take place in the Voter Registration Office at 45 South Lumpkin Street, Suite 113, Hawkinsville, GA.

Public Notice for Consolidation and Canvassing of Returns
Pursuant to O.C.G.A. § 21-2-492 notice is hereby given that the computation and canvassing of the returns of votes cast in the November 5, 2024 General Election will take place in the Voter Registration Office at 45 South Lumpkin Street, Suite 113, Hawkinsville, GA beginning upon the closing of the polls on Election Day Tuesday November 5, 2024.

City of Hawkinsville Propose Historic District Overlay Ordinance Amendment
The Planning Commission of the City of Hawkinsville will hold a public hearing on Thursday, November 21, 2024, at 5:00 p.m. in the City Hall Conference room, located at 56 Broad Street, Hawkinsville, GA 31036, to consider the following matters:
- A proposed amendment to the City’s “Unified Land Development Regulations” ordinance Appendix A – Division 7; Section 2.7.3
At the hearing, public comments will be heard on the matter; thereafter, the Commission will make recommendations to the City Commission on each item.

Local State of Emergency – Hurricane Helene
The Pulaski County Commissioner has issued a Local State of Emergency for September 26-27, 2024 due to conditions with Hurricane Helene.
