Sealed Bids will be received in the Commissioners’ Meeting Room at the Hawkinsville City Hall located at 56 Broad St. Hawkinsville GA 31036 until 2:00 PM Thursday, October 19, 2023 for the following project:

Hawkinsville GA reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids and to waive technicalities.
Each bidder must be currently licensed in the State of Georgia to perform work.
NOTICE Municipal General Election November 7, 2023
Advanced voting for the Municipal General Election will be held Monday October 16, 2023- Friday November 3, 2023 at the Pulaski County Courthouse Annex. Voting hours will be 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
Saturday Voting will be held October 21, 2023 and October 28, 2023 from 9:00 AM to 5:00 pm.
Applications for Absentee by Mail must be submitted to the Registrar’s Office by 5:00 PM on October 27 2023.
Election Day will be November 7, 2023 at the Pulaski County Courthouse Annex. Voting hours will be 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
LOGIC AND ACCURACY TESTING
MUNICIPAL GENERAL ELECTION NOVEMBER 7, 2023
Pursuant to O.C.G.A 21-2-379.25; notice is hereby given that the logic and accuracy testing on the voting equipment to be used in the November 7, 2023 Municipal General Election for Advance in Person Voting will begin at 9:00 a.m. on Monday September 25, 2023 until completed. The testing will be at the Pulaski County Courthouse Annex, 45 South Lumpkin Street, Hawkinsville, GA. The test procedure is open to the public.

ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS FOR SANITARY SEWER AND FLOOD AND DRAINAGE IMPROVEMENTS
FY2021 CDBG
For the
CITY OF HAWKINSVILLE, GEORGIA
Sealed proposals will be received by the City of Hawkinsville, Georgia at the City Hall, 56 Broad Street, Hawkinsville, Georgia 31036 until 10:00 a.m. local time, Thursday, September 14, 2023, at which time and place they will be publicly opened and read. No submitted bid may be withdrawn after the scheduled closing time for receipt of bids for a period of sixty (60) days.
All Bidders must have a State of Georgia Utility Contractor License and must employ a state “Utility Manager” certificate holder who will have oversight of all the work. The work to be done consists of furnishing all materials, equipment, and labor for:
Flood and Drainage:
Consists of grading, installation of 217 feet of 24-inch HDPE pipe, 206 feet of 30-inch HDPE pipe, construction of a concrete headwall, construction of 6 drainage structures, and road pavement and driveway repairs.
Sewer:
Consist of cleaning 2,800 linear feet of sanitary sewer mains, televising existing sewer pipes, pipe bursting rehabilitation of existing sewer pipes, raising 12 manholes to grade, rebuilding inverts of 12 manholes, and repairing 120 vertical feet of existing manholes.
Time allotted for construction is 150 consecutive calendar days for substantial completion and 180 days for final completion.
Proposals for the complete work in one general contract shall be made on the proposal form provided and shall contain prices in words and figures for the work bid on.
This is a Section 3 Covered Project under the HUD Act of 1968 and Section 3 Residents and Business Concerns are encouraged to apply.
The City of Hawkinsville Georgia is committed to providing all persons with equal access to its services, programs, activities education, and employment regardless of race, color, national origin, religion, sex familial status, disability, or age.
All proposals shall be accompanied by a Bid Bond drawn in favor of the City of Hawkinsville, Georgia, in the amount of at least 10% of the lump sum bid for the complete work; such Bid Bond representing that the Bidder, if awarded the contract, will promptly enter into a contract and furnish Performance Bond and Payment Bond as provided by law and approved by the Attorney for City of Hawkinsville, Georgia. Each bond shall be equal to 100% of the contract amount. The Bid Bond shall be forfeited to the City of Hawkinsville, Georgia as liquidated damages if the Bidder fails to execute the contract and provide performance and Payment Bonds within 10 days after being notified that he has been awarded the contract.

REQUEST FOR BIDS FOR THE CITY OF HAWKINSVILLE, GEORGIA
FOR VETERANS MEMORIAL PARK RENOVATIONS
Solicitation Summary
The City Commission of the City of Hawkinsville wishes to procure the services of qualified contractors for the renovation and development of Veterans Memorial Park. The project includes development of a splashpad, pickleball courts, skatepark, dog park, restroom building, and multi-use path. Additionally, the project includes the installation of benches and a playground set. The goal of the project is to further preserve and enhance this open space for residents and visitors to the Veterans Memorial Park. All bidders must comply with all regulations related to the Department of Natural Resources Land and Water Conservation Fund.
The City of Hawkinsville reserves the right to reject any and all bids received.

Invitation to Submit Bids

A pre-bid conference will be held at 10:00 a.m. on June 28, 2023, through Microsoft Teams. The Teams link is part of the “Instruction to Bidders” within the Project Manual. Sealed bids must be received by the City of Hawkinsville no later than 2:00 pm., Friday, July 21, 2023, with bid opening taking place at that time.

Special Called County Commissioner’s Meeting
A special called County Commissioner’s meeting will be held on Friday, May 19th at 10:00 am at the County Annex. The purpose of the meeting is to approve Resolution 2023-6, a Community Block Development Grant (CDBG) grant application for the Senior Center.
