The buildings custodian is responsible to maintain our county office facilities. The ideal candidate will be experienced in a custodian role focused on building upkeep. They will have a great physical endurance to cover a large space. A keen eye for detail and diligence are also imperative in custodial maintenance jobs.

Sealed Bids will be received at the Houston County Purchasing Department, located at 2020 Kings Chapel Rd. Perry, Ga. until 10:00 AM Thursday, March 5, 2020 for the following project:
Resurfacing and repairs of various city streets and county roads in Byron, Centerville, Hawkinsville, Perry, Warner Robins,Dooly, Houston and Pulaski Counties. Totaling 32.68 miles.

The Joint 2020 LMIG Committee reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids and to waive technicalities.
The bidder’s E-Verify Number shall be marked on the outside of the bid envelope. A completed “E-Verify Affidavit for Road Construction” shall be included with the bid.
All bids must be accompanied by a Bid Bond in the amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the Total Base Bid. Performance and Payment Bond, each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the total contract amount, will be required of the successful bidder. Bonds must be written by an acceptable Surety Company licensed to do business in the State of Georgia and listed in the Department of Treasury, Circular 570, latest edition.
A mandatory pre-bid conference is scheduled for Thursday, February 20, 2020 in the Houston County Public Works Office, 2018 Kings Chapel Road, Perry, Georgia. The meeting will begin at 10:00 AM.

PULASKI COUNTY is accepting applications for the position of APPRAISER I TRAINEE in the Tax Assessors Office
The purpose of this classification is to make appraisals of real/personal property for ad valorem tax purposes.
- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid Georgia Driver’s License
- Must be in good physical and mental health and have the ability to interact well with the general public
- Must be computer literate and possess written and oral communication skills with an understanding of basic mathematics
- Must be able to research, analyze, and inspect property and gather information necessary for appraisals
The selected candidate must have the ability to learn, under supervision, the methods and techniques involved in the appraisal of typical and complex properties.
The selected candidate must complete the appraiser exam for level I and obtain 40 hours of continued education every two years at an out of town location.
Background check and drug screen are required.
