Presidential Preference Primary – March 12, 2024
Advanced voting for the Presidential Preference Primary will be held Monday February 19, 2024- Friday March 8, 2024 at the Pulaski County Courthouse Annex. Voting hours will be 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
Saturday Voting will be held February 24, 2024 and March 2, 2024 from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
Applications for Absentee by Mail must be submitted to the Registrar’s Office by 5:00 PM on March 1, 2024.
Election Day will be March 12, 2024 at the Pulaski County Courthouse Annex. Voting hours will be 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
Call for Special Election
Notice is hereby given that, in accordance with O.C.G.A. § 21-2-540, a special election shall be held in Pulaski County to fill the vacancy in the office of Pulaski County Board of Education District 2, caused by the resignation of the Honorable Greg Brown. The special election will be held on May 21, 2024.
Qualifying for the special election shall be held at the Board of Elections and Registration, beginning at 9:00 a.m. on March 4, 2024 and ending at noon on March 8, 2024. The qualifying fee shall be $90.00.
All persons who are not registered to vote and who desire to register to vote in the special election my register to vote through the close of business on April 22, 2024.
Early voting will be held April 29, 2024 through May 17, 2024. Polls will be open from 7:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Election Day.
Should a runoff election be required, such runoff will be held on June 18, 2024.

Pulaski County Request for Quote (RFQ) for Crushed Aggregate for Dirt Road Maintenance

2024 LMIG – Crushed Aggregate for Dirt Road Maintenance
Pulaski County is accepting quotes from companies capable of providing and delivering crushed aggregate to be placed on unpaved roads inside the county. The crushed aggregate can be granite, concrete, brick, asphalt or a combination of these materials. Pulaski County requests that the price quote be broken into three different line items:
- Aggregate Only – Price per Ton picked up at the Contractor’s location.
- Aggregate Delivered – Price per Ton delivered to Pulaski County Road Department on County Barn Road just south of Hawkinsville off of US 129/SR 11 Abbeville Hwy.
- a. Aggregate Delivered to Specified Location and Tailgated to a thickness of 2 inches b. Mileage Rate (Loaded) beginning at the Pulaski County Line, delivered to the site, and tailgated on the desired roadway.
Pulaski County expects to engage at least two contractors for this work and will assign work to the various contractors based on material price, quality, availability, and location of road in relation to the provider. The County will issue a Purchase Order for an amount of aggregate based on a group of roads. Payment will be made based on weight tickets. This work is expected to be completed by June 30, 2024 but each task order must be completed within 30 days of issuance. It is the County’s hope to place over 15,000 tons of aggregate over the dirt roads. Bidders should provide an estimate of aggregate available to be purchased.
Bidders should provide their bid on the Bid Quote Form that is available on the Pulaski County website (hawkinsville-pulaski.org) and on the Georgia Procurement Website (doas.ga.gov). Quotes will be received until 2:00 pm on Monday, November 27, 2023 and shall be delivered to the Pulaski County Commissioners office at 45 S. Saturday Voting will be held October 21, 2023 and October 28, 2023 from 9:00 AM to 5:00 pm.

City of Hawkinsville Request for Proposals (RFP) for Sanitary Sewer and Flood/Drainage Improvements
ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS FOR SANITARY SEWER AND FLOOD AND DRAINAGE IMPROVEMENTS
FY2021 CDBG
For the
CITY OF HAWKINSVILLE, GEORGIA
Sealed proposals will be received by the City of Hawkinsville, Georgia at the City Hall, 56 Broad Street, Hawkinsville, Georgia 31036 until 10:00 a.m. local time, Thursday, September 14, 2023, at which time and place they will be publicly opened and read. No submitted bid may be withdrawn after the scheduled closing time for receipt of bids for a period of sixty (60) days.
All Bidders must have a State of Georgia Utility Contractor License and must employ a state “Utility Manager” certificate holder who will have oversight of all the work. The work to be done consists of furnishing all materials, equipment, and labor for:
Flood and Drainage:
Consists of grading, installation of 217 feet of 24-inch HDPE pipe, 206 feet of 30-inch HDPE pipe, construction of a concrete headwall, construction of 6 drainage structures, and road pavement and driveway repairs.
Sewer:
Consist of cleaning 2,800 linear feet of sanitary sewer mains, televising existing sewer pipes, pipe bursting rehabilitation of existing sewer pipes, raising 12 manholes to grade, rebuilding inverts of 12 manholes, and repairing 120 vertical feet of existing manholes.
Time allotted for construction is 150 consecutive calendar days for substantial completion and 180 days for final completion.
Proposals for the complete work in one general contract shall be made on the proposal form provided and shall contain prices in words and figures for the work bid on.
This is a Section 3 Covered Project under the HUD Act of 1968 and Section 3 Residents and Business Concerns are encouraged to apply.

All proposals shall be accompanied by a Bid Bond drawn in favor of the City of Hawkinsville, Georgia, in the amount of at least 10% of the lump sum bid for the complete work; such Bid Bond representing that the Bidder, if awarded the contract, will promptly enter into a contract and furnish Performance Bond and Payment Bond as provided by law and approved by the Attorney for City of Hawkinsville, Georgia. Each bond shall be equal to 100% of the contract amount. The Bid Bond shall be forfeited to the City of Hawkinsville, Georgia as liquidated damages if the Bidder fails to execute the contract and provide performance and Payment Bonds within 10 days after being notified that he has been awarded the contract.
